Cut Form

Where function becomes sculpture

Sculptural furniture, lighting and architectural objects inspired by the logic of nature. Parametrically designed, made to order in Austria.

  • Parametric design
  • Made for your space
  • For people who create worlds to live in

Custom projects

Shape the atmosphere

Custom parametric solutions for spaces that need more than standard interiors. From feature walls and ceilings to partitions, lighting and built-in furniture, we develop each solution around the architecture, function and character of the space.

Living mathematics

Nature never guesses. A spiral, a honeycomb, a cracked riverbed: each one follows a rule. We read those rules and let them shape furniture, light and space.

Nature, translated into form

One bench, four stages. The curve of a wind-shaped dune becomes a smooth form, the form is drawn as sections, and every section is cut and stacked into a bench.

  1. A sand dune in warm light, with fine wind ripples running along its curved ridge

    NatureWind-shaped dune

  2. The bench as one smooth, light volume without sections, rising and dipping like a dune

    FormThe volume at full scale

  3. The bench drawn as thin white section outlines on a dark ground, with a green line following the curve of its top

    AlgorithmThe curve as sections

  4. The finished wooden bench, built from stacked vertical wooden sections that rise and dip like a dune

Process

From first idea to finished form

See how we work
An empty interior with stone columns: the space before the project starts
Lime contour lines describing the geometry of a parametric form
Walnut with a flowing grain
Close-up of walnut fins, a detail tested before production
The CNC machine in our workshop cutting a wooden sheet
The same stone column, now wrapped in flowing walnut fins in a finished restaurant interior
